Why Believe The Bible? (2024)

2 Peter 1:16-21

Message # 1

If we have put our faith in Jesus, if we are staking our life and our hope of Heaven on Jesus, where do we find information about Jesus? In the Bible, right? So, if we can't trust the Bible, then we can't really put our hope and trust in Jesus, can we?

There's a lot of confusion surrounding the Bible, not just outside the church, but there's plenty inside the church as well. We hear all kinds of critiques and criticisms of the Bible, don't we? And those critiques and criticisms cause far too many people to dismiss the Bible without ever even looking into the origin, history, or facts of the Bible for even one minute.

So, our question for this serires is this: Is there enough "evidence based proof" of the Bible that we should believe its words even before we put our faith in it?

Guys, there is an absolute ton of rock-solid evidence supporting the validity and the accuracy of the Bible. There is so much evidence that we could spend our entire lives researching it and never get to it all. All that evidence proves beyond a reasonable doubt that we absolutely should believe the Bible and that (prayerfully) we should put our faith in the central figure of the Bible - Jesus Christ.
