Just so you know why today’s title is “Ezekiel 38 in The News,” because some pieces possibly, potentially, could be pieces of Ezekiel 38 could be showing up in the news. Let me read you a few actual news headlines from yesterday, August 3, 2024.

There’s a war going on today, we know it for ten months on the southern border. It is about to start on the northern border. And there’s a big war – a world-changing war prophesied in Ezekiel Chapters 38-39. And we don’t know if these headlines will lead to the Ezekiel 38 war now or not. But we do know that the prophecies we’re about to look at in Ezekiel 38 will absolutely come to pass.
Now or later.
Isaiah 46:9–10 (NLT)
9 Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me.
10 Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.
God is in ultimate control, and he will ultimately bring his good plan to pass.
Let me start by. Again, begging you NOT to believe the fake news – and there is so much of it. All news now, including the news we choose, comes (not even cloaked) directly from the perspective of those who are giving the news. It’s not like it used to be with Walter Cronkite. It’s not like that. If you’re listening to liberal media, which is the primary media in our country, you are listening to a slanted, influencing political agenda. Period.

It’s news from a Jewish Israeli Christian Biblical Messianic perspective. If you don’t want the Bible perspective, then turn on the other news channels. But if you want a Judeo-Christian perspective, this is the best place.
Again, there is an incredible war described in Ezekiel 38-39. And we do not know if THIS war is going to lead to THAT war. But we do know we can easily see significant pieces of the puzzle today coming into shape, falling into place. We know what’s going to happen. We know who it’s going to be. We know where it’s going to happen. We know how it’s going to happen. We just don’t know when it’s going to happen – when all the pieces will finally fall together and trigger this event.
So, I’m not saying it’s happening now, but I am going to tell you what is going to happen, how, and where.
Let me give you a run-up to Ezekiel 38-39 because the run-up is very important. People just jump right into Ezekiel 38, and the big picture and the context are missed.
Write in your margin Ezekiel 36, verse 8. The prophecy is about God preparing the dead land of Israel for his people to return. Babylonian captivity – God is preparing the land for the return of Israel. It’s not only prophetic about the Babylonian captivity, but it’s also prophetic about the Last Days (and a lot of things in Old Testament prophecy are).
Ezekiel 36:8 (NLT)
8 “But the mountains of Israel will produce heavy crops of fruit for my people—for they will be coming home again soon!
And then verse 11.
Ezekiel 36:11 (NLT)
11 . . . I will make you even more prosperous than you were before. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Which is a huge theme in Ezekiel (and for us today). Then you will know that I am the Lord. That’s the main point of this war that we are about to look at. That’s the main point of all of God’s dealing with Israel and the End Times, and the end of the Tribulation. Then you will know that I am the Lord. That’s our huge theme throughout Ezekiel, but especially as we go from Chapter 36 to the end.
Next, Ezekiel Chapter 37 is the somewhat famous “Dry Bones” chapter. And the prophecy is about God bringing the Nation of Israel back to life physically IN the land of Israel, and spiritually. In Chapter 37, Ezekiel watches as God brings the Valley of Dry Bones back to life.
And then we read this in Ezekiel 37, verses 11-13.
Ezekiel 37:11–13 (NLT)
11 Then he (that’s the Lord) said to me (that’s Ezekiel), “Son of man, these bones represent the people of Israel. (When God wants you to know what his prophecy means, he just tells you.) They are saying, ‘We have become old, dry bones—all hope is gone. Our nation is finished.’
12 Therefore, prophesy to them and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I will open your graves of exile and cause you to rise again. Then I will bring you back to the land of Israel.
13 When this happens, O my people, you will know that I am the Lord.
(Again, this is a huge theme in Ezekiel and for us today.) Look for these repeated phrases in the Bible because God understands that we need to hear things more than once. He’s trying to get a point across.
We see this happening in history, not only after the Babylonian Captivity but also on May 14, 1948, in complete fulfillment. This is when God miraculously made Israel into a Nation, seemingly overnight, just three years after what Israel now calls the first Holocaust led by Hitler.
Hitler. Early 1940’s. Nazi’s. Did you think they were gone? I personally did. I thought, “Okay. That’s a thing of the past.” What’s come back? Nazism. Anti-Semitism at the Nazi level, including the symbols and the salutes, and the whole satanic rigamarole. Satan hasn’t given up with the Hitler approach yet.
Israel now calls it the First Holocaust as opposed to calling it THE Holocaust. On October 07, 2023, they began calling the Holocaust under Hitler the First Holocaust, and they began calling the Second Holocaust what happened in their country on October 7, 2023.
Just to give you an idea because we don’t get it. In percentage of civilians, what Hamas did as a proxy of Iran, what Iran did through Hamas in Israel is equal percentage-wise to Mexico crossing the border into San Diego and slaughtering 100,000 people. Raping, torturing, burning children in ovens . . . 100,000 people. Same percentage of America as the percentage of the tortured and murdered innocent civilians on October 7. 100,000. And now, by the requirement of our President Barak Hussein Obama, the same entrance to Gaza that the terrorists used to kill what would be equal to 100,000 civilians in America, Israel is now bringing thousands of tons of Aide through that same crossing to give to the Palestinians who are still sworn to their annihilation to try to appease Obama.
May 14, 1948. The reason I am telling you this is because have you ever wondered, “Why 1948?” How did that happen? Can I tell you, please, it was the world’s response to the Holocaust under Hitler? The world was like, “Sorry we didn’t say anything. Sorry, we let that go. Let’s make you a Nation State.” That’s what it was. That’s why Britain gave Israel Palestine. It was a British mandate. (Remember that when I come back to it.)
The Second Holocaust, on October 7, 2023, was led by radical Islam. God removed Hitler and the Nazis. God will (we think) remove radical Islam through the Ezekiel 38 war. And then, as the Holocaust brought this miraculous beginning of the Nation of Israel, Ezekiel 38 war may potentially bring the miraculous peace of the Antichrist. Follow me on this.
So now God has restored the land. He’s restored his People to the land. Those are physical restorations. God has made covenants with Israel that are physical, that are geographical. And God will fulfill every covenant he makes. He will fulfill every one that he has made to Israel; he’ll fulfill every one he makes to you. God will fulfill every covenant.
There is also a spiritual restoration coming too that is yet to happen. And the very next verse in Ezekiel 37 prophecies it.
Ezekiel 37:14 (NLT)
14 (the Lord says) I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live again and return home to your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken, and I have done what I said. Yes, the Lord has spoken!’ ”
The Bible says this spiritual restoration of Israel is coming. Israel will be saved through faith in Jesus Christ, primarily not until the Tribulation, the way we see it. But Israel has some tough times coming between now and then.
So now, the Land of Israel and the People of Israel are physically restored. Anybody who would take an hour to look at the history of Israel from 1948 until today can only say the present-day history of Israel is an absolute, Supernatural, God’s hand, divinely driven, one hundred percent miracle, especially in the miraculous wars they’ve had to fight. In the wars of 1948 (one day after becoming a Nation), 1956, 1967, and 1973, the Arab countries that surround Israel attacked them. And God supernaturally, miraculously brought swift victory to Israel every single time!
And that brings us to Ezekiel Chapter 38.
Ezekiel 38:1–3 (NLT)
1 This is another message that came to me from the Lord:
2 “Son of man, turn and face Gog of the land of Magog, the prince who rules over the nations of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him.
3 Give him this message from the Sovereign Lord: Gog, I am your enemy!
Ezekiel is prophesying toward God and the land of Magog. Gog is the Prince (Ruler) of the AREA of Magog and the nations of Meshech and Tubal. Magog, Meshech, and Tubal are all areas that are today Russia. There is a long history starting in Genesis Chapter 10 that supports these areas as Russia. And in Ezekiel, their leader is called Gog, and Gog will ultimately be the leader of this coalition that bans together to try to destroy Israel. And so (no surprise) in verse 3, the Sovereign Lord says, Gog, I am your enemy.
Ezekiel 38:4 (NLT)
4 I will turn you (Russia) around and put hooks in your jaws to lead you out with your whole army—your horses and charioteers in full armor and a great horde armed with shields and swords.
And then, these important verses.
Ezekiel 38:5-6 (NLT)
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya will join you, too, with all their weapons.
6 Gomer and all its armies will also join you, along with the armies of Beth-togarmah from the distant north, and many others.
In 1935, Persia changed its name to Iran. Then in the 1970’s sometime, they changed to it to The Islamic Republic of Iran, just to make sure everyone knew.
The NLT translates the ancient word Cush as Ethiopia, but this area includes what today Sudan, and today, specifically, North Sudan (radical Islam) is. Sudan went through a civil war back when I was taking my son there. And after that, Sudan was divided. And Northern Sudan is now a radical Islamic country (and the radical Islam has always been up there). We see the Hebrew word, Cush, translated as Ethiopia; we see it as the radical Islam side of Sudan.
Next is Libya. If you’re reading an essentially literal Bible might say Put. It’s the country of Libya.
Finally, both Gomer and Beth-Togarmah are areas in central Turkey. (Some scholars say Gomer is Northeast Russia.)
So, in this Ezekiel 38 Coalition, we have Russia, Iran, Sudan, Libya, and Turkey.
This is the coalition of countries that are going to be led by Gog, the leader of this coalition and the leader of Russia into Israel in this Ezekiel 38 war.

HERE IS A MAP OF THESE NATIONS
There are a lot of these maps around, and they all vary a little bit. But you can see up there at the very top they put Gomer in Eastern Europe. Russia, Turkey, Iran, Libya, and Northern Sudan (because of the radical Islam government in Northern Sudan). These are the five nations that will align themselves, under Gog, to attack Israel in a commitment to destroy Israel once and for all. Do you see it? Does that give you a bit of the picture? This is the real deal.
Let’s talk about how the pieces of the puzzle might fall together. I mean, we see them clearly forming. We see the pieces. And actually, the Bible is going to tell us how they fall together. We just don’t know when they’re going to fall together.
Right now, Iran is the Octopus of Terrorism. That is Amir Tsarfati’s name for Iran, and it’s perfect. I say octopus because Iran has all of these “octopus arms” of terror covering (honestly) the world. Big, big in Europe. Why is that happening in Europe? Mass immigration without control. What’s going on in America? Mass immigration without control. Who’s coming into America? The same terrorists that are coming into Europe.
Iran has all of these proxy militias doing their bidding.
HAMAS is IRAN in the Gaza Strip. That has been made perfectly clear. It’s Iran’s proxy; they do what Iran says and what Iran pays them to do with money that Iran gets from our President (Obama). And they just funnel it.
(By the way, it’s 2024 for you watching, and President Obama is in his third term currently and going for a fourth with a female “puppet” as President. It’s simply the truth – look into it. It’s not that hard to determine.)
HEZBOLLAH (which is where this war is forming in the North) is IRAN in Lebanon on the northern border with Israel. Many of you have been there with us. We sit right on the border, and we look right into Lebanon and into Syria, where all three countries come together.
The HOUTHIS is IRAN in Yemen. We know that – it’s Iran’s octopus arm in Yemen.
The PALESTIANIAN ISLAMIC JIHAD is IRAN in the West Bank inside Israel.
IRAN also has three different militias operating in Syria, currently operating all under the control of the octopus Iran.
IRAN is the Octopus of Terror – and is obsessed (or possessed) by a command from their god to completely annihilate Israel. Why? Because they’re Israel. Yeah, but why? There’s got to be some other reason. No. Just because they’re Jews. It’s funny how people under the influence of the “other god” Prince of this world, always want to kill God’s people. Unfortunately, there are some in our government in the United States that are more and more on that bandwagon.
Here’s an interesting thing. We know these are all Iranian Octopus Arms of Terror around the world. Isn’t it interesting our current President (Obama), back in his first or second term, made a commitment to Iran to give them ONE HUNDRED BILLION dollars. 1,000,000,000 dollar financial commitment to the world’s top sponsor of terrorism. Obama hates colonialists (and that’s what we are), and he wants to bring us down and bring Iran up to be equal with us. That’s the truth. He wrote it in a book called “The Dreams of My Father.” He wants the United States brought down, and he wants the Iranian, Iraq, and all the Arab nations brought up to be equal with us.
As a good-faith gesture, Obama sends IRAN 1.8 BILLION (with a “B”) dollars on a secret military plane at night. Pallets of cash. You probably saw pictures of it. Iran said that is awesome. We’ll kill this many people in Israel; we’ll kill this many people here. We’ll kill this many people there. We’ll get this many people into Europe, and we’ll start infiltrating the government. They spent every dollar of that on terrorism. They spend every dollar they get on terrorism. They used that money to finance their global terrorist octopus arms, especially those actively working to destroy Israel.
Back to Ezekiel 38. In Ezekiel 38, IRAN is the octopus arms and are not alone. That’s what this war is today, basically Iran and its octopus arms. These other four countries are not (on the surface) involved in this war yet. And so, until these other four countries are directly involved (and they are indirectly involved for sure, especially Russia), it is NOT the Ezekiel 38 war. It’s not. It can’t be because all five of them have to be under the overall, all-encompassing leadership of Gog, of the leader of Russia. That hasn’t happened yet.
But let me talk about it a little bit. Iran has a deep and growing alliance with Russia (Gog and Magog). Right now, Russia is the primary (on the surface) helper of Iran getting a nuclear bomb. By the way, all the money that Obama gives to Iran is to help them get a nuclear bomb because he thinks that if they’re equal to us, then we’ll be friends. He knows that they want to destroy America, and he thinks it’s a good idea to “level the playing field.”
Iran is an ally of Russia. Today, there are approximately 1,000 nuclear scientists currently working on the Iranian nuclear weapon program. One thousand Russian nuclear scientists are currently in Iran working on their nuclear war program. Incredible! In return, Iran is sending weapons to Russia for Ukraine continually. Russia and Iran are already working together in Syria to preserve and protect that extremist regime (Dictatorship) that supports them both and shares a border with Israel. Both Russia and Iran have plenty of militants in Syria together.
Next is SUDAN, which is third on the list. Russia leading, followed by Iran and Sudan. (North Sudan, especially) Your Bible will say Ethiopia/Kush. North Sudan is also an ally of both Iran and Russia, and they are a radical Islamic country, making them a strong ally against Israel. Russia is making radical Islamic countries allies because Russia wants what the radical Islamists and Barack Obama want. They all want America destroyed. That’s their goal. So, Russia is buying these military alliances with the radical Islamic countries.
Next is Libya. Russia describes Libya as one of their strongest military allies in the Middle East. Here’s something I read yesterday in the largest independent news agency, (called Medusa) that reports on Russia. (Independent meaning not government controlled.) May 16, 2024, two and a half months ago, this headline ran. ‘A big mess is brewing’ Thousands of Russian fighters are flooding into Libya, raising concerns over what the Kremlin might be planning.'
In the article it says many of these thousands of fighters are from the WAGNER group (a militant group) from Russia. So, Russia and Libya are side-by-side.
Next is Gomer. As I said, some put it way up in the far east of Russia. Others put it in modern-day Turkey, central Turkey; Beth-Togarmah is for sure referring to Turkey. The current president of Turkey has already said (you can verify all of this; it’s easy to fact-check stuff now) that he may send military ground soldiers into Israel when Iran attacks on behalf of the Iran terrorist proxies. That’s Turkey.
Turkey is a NATO country. They are the only NATO country that aligns themselves consistently with Russia, a non-NATO country. In fact, in 2017, Turkey signed a $2.5 Billion deal to buy an anti-ballistic missile defense system from Russia. And Turkey also has close economic ties with Iran.
Russia. Iran. Sudan. Libya. Turkey (NATO). All of these are aligned against Israel. That’s what Ezekiel 38 says. That’s what the prophet Ezekiel wrote over 2,500 years ago in the Book of Ezekiel. These five countries will one day form a coalition to attack Israel together.
And today, it is very easy to see the pieces of this prophetic puzzle coming together right before our eyes. It’s not happening yet, but what we are seeing happen is the first big piece. It’s all radical Islam coming together to attack Israel.
Back in Ezekiel 38.
In Ezekiel 38, verse 8, God speaks to this coalition army.
Ezekiel 38:8-9 (NLT)
8 A long time from now (God speaking to this coalition of five nations) you will be called into action. In the distant future you will swoop down on the land of Israel, which will be enjoying peace after recovering from war and after its people have returned from many lands to the mountains of Israel. (that’s the North – that’s Northern Israel where the mountains are)
9 You and all your allies—a vast and awesome army—will roll down on them like a storm and cover the land like a cloud.
Russia. Iran. Sudan. Libya. Turkey.
This is the five-nation coalition that will join together to attack Israel
All of them coming from the north to cover the land of Israel like a cloud.
Right now, the borders in the North are Lebanon and Syria, both controlled by two of those five countries, Russia and Iran.
And then look at how the NLT describes in Ezekiel 38, verse 10, the feelings: the heart of these attacking nations.
Ezekiel 38:10–12 (NLT)
10 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: At that time evil thoughts will come to your mind (that’s the five-nation coalition), and you will devise a wicked scheme.
11 You will say, ‘Israel is an unprotected land filled with unwalled villages! I will march against her and destroy these people who live in such confidence! (they do Israel does -they live in high confidence)
12 I will go to those formerly desolate cities that are now filled with people who have returned from exile in many nations. I will capture vast amounts of plunder (this is the five-nation coalition talking), for the people are rich with livestock and other possessions now (they are. – Israel is very rich). They think the whole world revolves around them!’
How’s that for real language!! This is how many in the world feel about Israel. This is how many in our government feel about Israel. They think the world revolves around them. So, let’s annihilate them. They don’t deserve to live. Here’s the truth: All of God’s Creation revolves around Israel.
Ezekiel 38:13 (NLT)
13 But Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish will ask, ‘Do you really think the armies you have gathered can rob them of silver and gold? Do you think you can drive away their livestock and seize their goods and carry off plunder?’
These are nations that are questioning (challenging) this five-nation coalition that is attacking Israel.
It doesn’t actually say they are helping Israel, and let me just tell you, for time’s sake, Bible scholars connect SHEBA and DEDAN to Saudi Arabia. We can see Saudi Arabia has radical Islam also, as we can see from 9/11. The scholars connect TARSHISH to Great Britain.
So, Saudi Arabia and Great Britain are saying, “Hey. Why don’t you guys stop?”
In the New King James Bible, the words “and their Young Lions” are in the translation (after Tarshish), and in the Hebrew the word translated “Lions” actually means “warriors, soldiers.” But some people see that reference “and their Young Lions” as a possible reference to the United States, and Canada, and Australia that used to be British colonies. I don’t know about that; the NLT doesn’t put those words there. But some people point that out and say, “Oh! That’s the United States. The Young Lions of Great Britian.” I don’t know.
Many make a big deal that the Bible doesn’t list anyone (including us) who helps Israel in this Ezekiel 38 war. You would think we would help. But we don’t. And maybe it’s because we’ve been destroyed internally. If our nation falls, it’s going to fall just like Rome – it’ll fall from within. Look around – pray it doesn’t – but if it does, that’s where it will go.
But it doesn’t matter because in Ezekiel 38 war – nobody helps Israel BUT GOD! Nobody helps Israel but GOD, and that’s the whole point. That’s why I’m sharing this with you today. When the Ezekiel 38 war comes, it’s God and God alone, and the rest of the world will be astonished! God will demonstrate his absolute power on behalf of his People – Israel. Israel doesn’t need anybody else – not because they’re great. It’s because their GOD is great, which we are going to clearly see in a minute.
And again, remember, Ezekiel is writing down over 2,500 – 2,600 years ago what we are seeing into being – today. He names these five nations, and we say, “Oh. Wait a minute. Yeah, I can see how they are part of this. And, oh yes, so are they.” And there’s one connection with them all (even in including Russia – but with Russia, it is more military and economic). That one connection is radical Islam. It connects all five of these countries. Russia is just using radical Islam to destabilize America. Radical Islam is what unites them all.
We’re seeing that all come together. One purpose of prophecy in the Bible is to leave us in awe of how absolutely incredible God is. And the prophecy of this Ezkiel 38 war does that. It was in print in 275 BC in the Septuagint, and he named the five countries that we see right now that could easily come together and attack Israel. . . Wow!!!! If he knew that, what else does he know? If he got this right, what’s the chance of him getting the end of this right? One hundred percent, right? That’s the purpose of prophecies.
Skipping down to verse 16.
We see what God is doing in the midst of this great war. God is speaking to Gog as the leader of this five-nation coalition attacking Israel.
God says this in Ezekiel in verse 16.
Ezekiel 38:16 (NLT)
16 and you will attack my people Israel, covering their land like a cloud. At that time in the distant future, I will bring you against my land as everyone watches, and my holiness will be displayed by what happens to you (your 5 nation coalition that is really stitched together by radical Islam and the major radical Islam players of the world), Gog. Then all the nations will know that I am the Lord.
There it is: The HUGE theme in Ezekiel and especially in this war. The God of Israel is the Lord God!
God says – my holiness will be displayed by what happens to you, Gog. Then all the nations will know that I am the Lord.
Then, starting in Ezekiel 38:18, we see how God will display his holiness.
I want to make sure I get this in. Radical Islam is at the center of this coalition. I need you to hear that. Because radical Islam has to be taken out, has to be gone for a peace treaty to be made with Israel by the Antichrist that allows them to build the Temple. Radical Islam will never allow it. And we always say, “Well, somehow it works.” But wait a minute. What if Ezekiel 38 is right (and it is), and these are the five nations that control radical Islam in the world, and God takes care of them? Then, how easy would it be for the Antichrist to bring a false peace?
We see how the nations will know that the God of Israel is the LORD of Heaven and earth.
Ezekiel 38:18–23 (NLT)
18 But this is what the Sovereign Lord says: When Gog invades the land of Israel, my fury will boil over!
19 In my jealousy and blazing anger, I promise a mighty shaking in the land of Israel on that day.
20 All living things—the fish in the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals of the field, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the people on earth—will quake in terror at my presence. Mountains will be thrown down; cliffs will crumble; walls will fall to the earth.
21 I will summon the sword against you (this is that five-nation coalition stitched together by radical Islam) on all the hills of Israel, says the Sovereign Lord. Your men will turn their swords against each other. (Classic victory plan for God)
22 I will punish you and your armies with disease and bloodshed; I will send torrential rain, hailstones, fire, and burning sulfur!
23 In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
Then they will know that I am the Lord
THAT IS - The Ultimate POINT of the Ezekiel 38 WAR. It’s for all the world to see God take out this five-nation coalition, which is stitched together by radical Islam. And right here, God destroys them. I mean from Heaven (with no help).
To close, let me say, like most things in Bible prophecy, there are multiple views about when this war is going to happen. Not IF, but when. We see this war happening just before the Rapture or just after the Rapture.
We see this war basically removing radical Islam from the world-controlling position they are working towards right now.
And we see this war paving the way for the Antichrist to bring false peace to the world for a time. And we see this war paving the way for the Antichrist to make a treaty with Israel, allowing Israel to rebuild the Temple, probably at the very beginning of the seven-year Tribulation.
There is so much prophecy that we can talk about in this war and in Ezekiel. But I just wanted you to know
WHAT the Ezekiel 38-39 war refers to
And WHAT it will LOOK LIKE when it comes
And I want you to know WHY God is going to do it – to put on display his holiness and his greatness, his awesomeness, and his unconditional commitment to his People Israel.
But mostly, I want you to be in awe of God. I pray that you are in awe of the miraculous accuracy of God’s prophecy in the Bible. I pray that you are in awe of God’s unconditional promises to Israel, including bringing salvation to Israel in the very Last Days. And this war, described in Ezekiel 38, will certainly be a part of God doing that, especially as Israel enters the seven-year Tribulation period that we see closely following the Ezekiel 38 war.
Could that be happening right now? It’s not this war, but the pieces of the five-nation coalition coming together – it’s really easy to see it all going together.

There’s a war going on today, we know it for ten months on the southern border. It is about to start on the northern border. And there’s a big war – a world-changing war prophesied in Ezekiel Chapters 38-39. And we don’t know if these headlines will lead to the Ezekiel 38 war now or not. But we do know that the prophecies we’re about to look at in Ezekiel 38 will absolutely come to pass.
Now or later.

9 Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me.
10 Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.
God is in ultimate control, and he will ultimately bring his good plan to pass.
Let me start by. Again, begging you NOT to believe the fake news – and there is so much of it. Again, there is an incredible war described in Ezekiel 38-39. And we do not know if THIS war is going to lead to THAT war. But we do know we can easily see significant pieces of the puzzle today coming into shape, falling into place. We know what’s going to happen. We know who it’s going to be. We know where it’s going to happen. We know how it’s going to happen. We just don’t know when it’s going to happen – when all the pieces will finally fall together and trigger this event.
So, I’m not saying it’s happening now, but I am going to tell you what is going to happen, how, and where.
Let me give you a run-up to Ezekiel 38-39 because the run-up is very important. People just jump right into Ezekiel 38, and the big picture and the context are missed.
Write in your margin Ezekiel 36, verse 8. The prophecy is about God preparing the dead land of Israel for his people to return. Babylonian captivity – God is preparing the land for the return of Israel. It’s not only prophetic about the Babylonian captivity, but it’s also prophetic about the Last Days (and a lot of things in Old Testament prophecy are).
Ezekiel 36:8 (NLT)
8 “But the mountains of Israel will produce heavy crops of fruit for my people—for they will be coming home again soon!
And then verse 11.
Ezekiel 36:11 (NLT)
11 . . . I will make you even more prosperous than you were before. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Which is a huge theme in Ezekiel (and for us today). Then you will know that I am the Lord. That’s the main point of this war that we are about to look at. That’s the main point of all of God’s dealing with Israel and the End Times, and the end of the Tribulation. Then you will know that I am the Lord. That’s our huge theme throughout Ezekiel, but especially as we go from Chapter 36 to the end.
Next, Ezekiel Chapter 37 is the somewhat famous “Dry Bones” chapter. And the prophecy is about God bringing the Nation of Israel back to life physically IN the land of Israel, and spiritually. In Chapter 37, Ezekiel watches as God brings the Valley of Dry Bones back to life.
And then we read this in Ezekiel 37, verses 11-13.
Ezekiel 37:11–13 (NLT)
11 Then he (that’s the Lord) said to me (that’s Ezekiel), “Son of man, these bones represent the people of Israel. (When God wants you to know what his prophecy means, he just tells you.) They are saying, ‘We have become old, dry bones—all hope is gone. Our nation is finished.’
12 Therefore, prophesy to them and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I will open your graves of exile and cause you to rise again. Then I will bring you back to the land of Israel.
13 When this happens, O my people, you will know that I am the Lord.
(Again, this is a huge theme in Ezekiel and for us today.) Look for these repeated phrases in the Bible because God understands that we need to hear things more than once. He’s trying to get a point across.
We see this happening in history, not only after the Babylonian Captivity but also on May 14, 1948, in complete fulfillment. This is when God miraculously made Israel into a Nation, seemingly overnight, just three years after what Israel now calls the first Holocaust led by Hitler.
Hitler. Early 1940’s. Nazi’s. Did you think they were gone? I personally did. I thought, “Okay. That’s a thing of the past.” What’s come back? Nazism. Anti-Semitism at the Nazi level, including the symbols and the salutes, and the whole satanic rigamarole. Satan hasn’t given up with the Hitler approach yet.
Israel now calls it the First Holocaust as opposed to calling it THE Holocaust. On October 07, 2023, they began calling the Holocaust under Hitler the First Holocaust, and they began calling the Second Holocaust what happened in their country on October 7, 2023.
Just to give you an idea because we don’t get it. In percentage of civilians, what Hamas did as a proxy of Iran, what Iran did through Hamas in Israel is equal percentage-wise to Mexico crossing the border into San Diego and slaughtering 100,000 people. Raping, torturing, burning children in ovens . . . 100,000 people. Same percentage of America as the percentage of the tortured and murdered innocent civilians on October 7. 100,000. And now, by the requirement of our President Barak Hussein Obama, the same entrance to Gaza that the terrorists used to kill what would be equal to 100,000 civilians in America, Israel is now bringing thousands of tons of Aide through that same crossing to give to the Palestinians who are still sworn to their annihilation to try to appease Obama.
May 14, 1948. The reason I am telling you this is because have you ever wondered, “Why 1948?” How did that happen? Can I tell you, please, it was the world’s response to the Holocaust under Hitler? The world was like, “Sorry we didn’t say anything. Sorry, we let that go. Let’s make you a Nation State.” That’s what it was. That’s why Britain gave Israel Palestine. It was a British mandate. (Remember that when I come back to it.)
The Second Holocaust, on October 7, 2023, was led by radical Islam. God removed Hitler and the Nazis. God will (we think) remove radical Islam through the Ezekiel 38 war. And then, as the Holocaust brought this miraculous beginning of the Nation of Israel, Ezekiel 38 war may potentially bring the miraculous peace of the Antichrist. Follow me on this.
So now God has restored the land. He’s restored his People to the land. Those are physical restorations. God has made covenants with Israel that are physical, that are geographical. And God will fulfill every covenant he makes. He will fulfill every one that he has made to Israel; he’ll fulfill every one he makes to you. God will fulfill every covenant.
There is also a spiritual restoration coming too that is yet to happen. And the very next verse in Ezekiel 37 prophecies it.
Ezekiel 37:14 (NLT)
14 (the Lord says) I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live again and return home to your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken, and I have done what I said. Yes, the Lord has spoken!’ ”
The Bible says this spiritual restoration of Israel is coming. Israel will be saved through faith in Jesus Christ, primarily not until the Tribulation, the way we see it. But Israel has some tough times coming between now and then.
So now, the Land of Israel and the People of Israel are physically restored. Anybody who would take an hour to look at the history of Israel from 1948 until today can only say the present-day history of Israel is an absolute, Supernatural, God’s hand, divinely driven, one hundred percent miracle, especially in the miraculous wars they’ve had to fight. In the wars of 1948 (one day after becoming a Nation), 1956, 1967, and 1973, the Arab countries that surround Israel attacked them. And God supernaturally, miraculously brought swift victory to Israel every single time!
And that brings us to Ezekiel Chapter 38.
Ezekiel 38:1–3 (NLT)
1 This is another message that came to me from the Lord:
2 “Son of man, turn and face Gog of the land of Magog, the prince who rules over the nations of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him.
3 Give him this message from the Sovereign Lord: Gog, I am your enemy!
Ezekiel is prophesying toward God and the land of Magog. Gog is the Prince (Ruler) of the AREA of Magog and the nations of Meshech and Tubal. Magog, Meshech, and Tubal are all areas that are today Russia. There is a long history starting in Genesis Chapter 10 that supports these areas as Russia. And in Ezekiel, their leader is called Gog, and Gog will ultimately be the leader of this coalition that bans together to try to destroy Israel. And so (no surprise) in verse 3, the Sovereign Lord says, Gog, I am your enemy.
Ezekiel 38:4 (NLT)
4 I will turn you (Russia) around and put hooks in your jaws to lead you out with your whole army—your horses and charioteers in full armor and a great horde armed with shields and swords.
And then, these important verses.
Ezekiel 38:5-6 (NLT)
5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya will join you, too, with all their weapons.
6 Gomer and all its armies will also join you, along with the armies of Beth-togarmah from the distant north, and many others.
In 1935, Persia changed its name to Iran. Then in the 1970’s sometime, they changed to it to The Islamic Republic of Iran, just to make sure everyone knew.
The NLT translates the ancient word Cush as Ethiopia, but this area includes what today Sudan, and today, specifically, North Sudan (radical Islam) is. Sudan went through a civil war back when I was taking my son there. And after that, Sudan was divided. And Northern Sudan is now a radical Islamic country (and the radical Islam has always been up there). We see the Hebrew word, Cush, translated as Ethiopia; we see it as the radical Islam side of Sudan.
Next is Libya. If you’re reading an essentially literal Bible might say Put. It’s the country of Libya.
Finally, both Gomer and Beth-Togarmah are areas in central Turkey. (Some scholars say Gomer is Northeast Russia.)
So, in this Ezekiel 38 Coalition, we have Russia, Iran, Sudan, Libya, and Turkey.
This is the coalition of countries that are going to be led by Gog, the leader of this coalition and the leader of Russia into Israel in this Ezekiel 38 war.

HERE IS A MAP OF THESE NATIONS
There are a lot of these maps around, and they all vary a little bit. But you can see up there at the very top they put Gomer in Eastern Europe. Russia, Turkey, Iran, Libya, and Northern Sudan (because of the radical Islam government in Northern Sudan). These are the five nations that will align themselves, under Gog, to attack Israel in a commitment to destroy Israel once and for all. Do you see it? Does that give you a bit of the picture? This is the real deal.
Let’s talk about how the pieces of the puzzle might fall together. I mean, we see them clearly forming. We see the pieces. And actually, the Bible is going to tell us how they fall together. We just don’t know when they’re going to fall together.
Right now, Iran is the Octopus of Terrorism. That is Amir Tsarfati’s name for Iran, and it’s perfect. I say octopus because Iran has all of these “octopus arms” of terror covering (honestly) the world. Big, big in Europe. Why is that happening in Europe? Mass immigration without control. What’s going on in America? Mass immigration without control. Who’s coming into America? The same terrorists that are coming into Europe.
Iran has all of these proxy militias doing their bidding.
HAMAS is IRAN in the Gaza Strip. That has been made perfectly clear. It’s Iran’s proxy; they do what Iran says and what Iran pays them to do with money that Iran gets from our President (Obama). And they just funnel it.
(By the way, it’s 2024 for you watching, and President Obama is in his third term currently and going for a fourth with a female “puppet” as President. It’s simply the truth – look into it. It’s not that hard to determine.)
HEZBOLLAH (which is where this war is forming in the North) is IRAN in Lebanon on the northern border with Israel. Many of you have been there with us. We sit right on the border, and we look right into Lebanon and into Syria, where all three countries come together.
The HOUTHIS is IRAN in Yemen. We know that – it’s Iran’s octopus arm in Yemen.
The PALESTIANIAN ISLAMIC JIHAD is IRAN in the West Bank inside Israel.
IRAN also has three different militias operating in Syria, currently operating all under the control of the octopus Iran.
IRAN is the Octopus of Terror – and is obsessed (or possessed) by a command from their god to completely annihilate Israel. Why? Because they’re Israel. Yeah, but why? There’s got to be some other reason. No. Just because they’re Jews. It’s funny how people under the influence of the “other god” Prince of this world, always want to kill God’s people. Unfortunately, there are some in our government in the United States that are more and more on that bandwagon.
Here’s an interesting thing. We know these are all Iranian Octopus Arms of Terror around the world. Isn’t it interesting our current President (Obama), back in his first or second term, made a commitment to Iran to give them ONE HUNDRED BILLION dollars. 1,000,000,000 dollar financial commitment to the world’s top sponsor of terrorism. Obama hates colonialists (and that’s what we are), and he wants to bring us down and bring Iran up to be equal with us. That’s the truth. He wrote it in a book called “The Dreams of My Father.” He wants the United States brought down, and he wants the Iranian, Iraq, and all the Arab nations brought up to be equal with us.
As a good-faith gesture, Obama sends IRAN 1.8 BILLION (with a “B”) dollars on a secret military plane at night. Pallets of cash. You probably saw pictures of it. Iran said that is awesome. We’ll kill this many people in Israel; we’ll kill this many people here. We’ll kill this many people there. We’ll get this many people into Europe, and we’ll start infiltrating the government. They spent every dollar of that on terrorism. They spend every dollar they get on terrorism. They used that money to finance their global terrorist octopus arms, especially those actively working to destroy Israel.
Back to Ezekiel 38. In Ezekiel 38, IRAN is the octopus arms and are not alone. That’s what this war is today, basically Iran and its octopus arms. These other four countries are not (on the surface) involved in this war yet. And so, until these other four countries are directly involved (and they are indirectly involved for sure, especially Russia), it is NOT the Ezekiel 38 war. It’s not. It can’t be because all five of them have to be under the overall, all-encompassing leadership of Gog, of the leader of Russia. That hasn’t happened yet.
But let me talk about it a little bit. Iran has a deep and growing alliance with Russia (Gog and Magog). Right now, Russia is the primary (on the surface) helper of Iran getting a nuclear bomb. By the way, all the money that Obama gives to Iran is to help them get a nuclear bomb because he thinks that if they’re equal to us, then we’ll be friends. He knows that they want to destroy America, and he thinks it’s a good idea to “level the playing field.”
Iran is an ally of Russia. Today, there are approximately 1,000 nuclear scientists currently working on the Iranian nuclear weapon program. One thousand Russian nuclear scientists are currently in Iran working on their nuclear war program. Incredible! In return, Iran is sending weapons to Russia for Ukraine continually. Russia and Iran are already working together in Syria to preserve and protect that extremist regime (Dictatorship) that supports them both and shares a border with Israel. Both Russia and Iran have plenty of militants in Syria together.
Next is SUDAN, which is third on the list. Russia leading, followed by Iran and Sudan. (North Sudan, especially) Your Bible will say Ethiopia/Kush. North Sudan is also an ally of both Iran and Russia, and they are a radical Islamic country, making them a strong ally against Israel. Russia is making radical Islamic countries allies because Russia wants what the radical Islamists and Barack Obama want. They all want America destroyed. That’s their goal. So, Russia is buying these military alliances with the radical Islamic countries.
Next is Libya. Russia describes Libya as one of their strongest military allies in the Middle East. Here’s something I read yesterday in the largest independent news agency, (called Medusa) that reports on Russia. (Independent meaning not government controlled.) May 16, 2024, two and a half months ago, this headline ran. ‘A big mess is brewing’ Thousands of Russian fighters are flooding into Libya, raising concerns over what the Kremlin might be planning.'
In the article it says many of these thousands of fighters are from the WAGNER group (a militant group) from Russia. So, Russia and Libya are side-by-side.
Next is Gomer. As I said, some put it way up in the far east of Russia. Others put it in modern-day Turkey, central Turkey; Beth-Togarmah is for sure referring to Turkey. The current president of Turkey has already said (you can verify all of this; it’s easy to fact-check stuff now) that he may send military ground soldiers into Israel when Iran attacks on behalf of the Iran terrorist proxies. That’s Turkey.
Turkey is a NATO country. They are the only NATO country that aligns themselves consistently with Russia, a non-NATO country. In fact, in 2017, Turkey signed a $2.5 Billion deal to buy an anti-ballistic missile defense system from Russia. And Turkey also has close economic ties with Iran.
Russia. Iran. Sudan. Libya. Turkey (NATO). All of these are aligned against Israel. That’s what Ezekiel 38 says. That’s what the prophet Ezekiel wrote over 2,500 years ago in the Book of Ezekiel. These five countries will one day form a coalition to attack Israel together.
And today, it is very easy to see the pieces of this prophetic puzzle coming together right before our eyes. It’s not happening yet, but what we are seeing happen is the first big piece. It’s all radical Islam coming together to attack Israel.
Back in Ezekiel 38.
In Ezekiel 38, verse 8, God speaks to this coalition army.
Ezekiel 38:8-9 (NLT)
8 A long time from now (God speaking to this coalition of five nations) you will be called into action. In the distant future you will swoop down on the land of Israel, which will be enjoying peace after recovering from war and after its people have returned from many lands to the mountains of Israel. (that’s the North – that’s Northern Israel where the mountains are)
9 You and all your allies—a vast and awesome army—will roll down on them like a storm and cover the land like a cloud.
Russia. Iran. Sudan. Libya. Turkey.
This is the five-nation coalition that will join together to attack Israel
All of them coming from the north to cover the land of Israel like a cloud.
Right now, the borders in the North are Lebanon and Syria, both controlled by two of those five countries, Russia and Iran.
And then look at how the NLT describes in Ezekiel 38, verse 10, the feelings: the heart of these attacking nations.
Ezekiel 38:10–12 (NLT)
10 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: At that time evil thoughts will come to your mind (that’s the five-nation coalition), and you will devise a wicked scheme.
11 You will say, ‘Israel is an unprotected land filled with unwalled villages! I will march against her and destroy these people who live in such confidence! (they do Israel does -they live in high confidence)
12 I will go to those formerly desolate cities that are now filled with people who have returned from exile in many nations. I will capture vast amounts of plunder (this is the five-nation coalition talking), for the people are rich with livestock and other possessions now (they are. – Israel is very rich). They think the whole world revolves around them!’
How’s that for real language!! This is how many in the world feel about Israel. This is how many in our government feel about Israel. They think the world revolves around them. So, let’s annihilate them. They don’t deserve to live. Here’s the truth: All of God’s Creation revolves around Israel.
Ezekiel 38:13 (NLT)
13 But Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish will ask, ‘Do you really think the armies you have gathered can rob them of silver and gold? Do you think you can drive away their livestock and seize their goods and carry off plunder?’
These are nations that are questioning (challenging) this five-nation coalition that is attacking Israel.
It doesn’t actually say they are helping Israel, and let me just tell you, for time’s sake, Bible scholars connect SHEBA and DEDAN to Saudi Arabia. We can see Saudi Arabia has radical Islam also, as we can see from 9/11. The scholars connect TARSHISH to Great Britain.
So, Saudi Arabia and Great Britain are saying, “Hey. Why don’t you guys stop?”
In the New King James Bible, the words “and their Young Lions” are in the translation (after Tarshish), and in the Hebrew the word translated “Lions” actually means “warriors, soldiers.” But some people see that reference “and their Young Lions” as a possible reference to the United States, and Canada, and Australia that used to be British colonies. I don’t know about that; the NLT doesn’t put those words there. But some people point that out and say, “Oh! That’s the United States. The Young Lions of Great Britian.” I don’t know.
Many make a big deal that the Bible doesn’t list anyone (including us) who helps Israel in this Ezekiel 38 war. You would think we would help. But we don’t. And maybe it’s because we’ve been destroyed internally. If our nation falls, it’s going to fall just like Rome – it’ll fall from within. Look around – pray it doesn’t – but if it does, that’s where it will go.
But it doesn’t matter because in Ezekiel 38 war – nobody helps Israel BUT GOD! Nobody helps Israel but GOD, and that’s the whole point. That’s why I’m sharing this with you today. When the Ezekiel 38 war comes, it’s God and God alone, and the rest of the world will be astonished! God will demonstrate his absolute power on behalf of his People – Israel. Israel doesn’t need anybody else – not because they’re great. It’s because their GOD is great, which we are going to clearly see in a minute.
And again, remember, Ezekiel is writing down over 2,500 – 2,600 years ago what we are seeing into being – today. He names these five nations, and we say, “Oh. Wait a minute. Yeah, I can see how they are part of this. And, oh yes, so are they.” And there’s one connection with them all (even in including Russia – but with Russia, it is more military and economic). That one connection is radical Islam. It connects all five of these countries. Russia is just using radical Islam to destabilize America. Radical Islam is what unites them all.
We’re seeing that all come together. One purpose of prophecy in the Bible is to leave us in awe of how absolutely incredible God is. And the prophecy of this Ezkiel 38 war does that. It was in print in 275 BC in the Septuagint, and he named the five countries that we see right now that could easily come together and attack Israel. . . Wow!!!! If he knew that, what else does he know? If he got this right, what’s the chance of him getting the end of this right? One hundred percent, right? That’s the purpose of prophecies.
Skipping down to verse 16.
We see what God is doing in the midst of this great war. God is speaking to Gog as the leader of this five-nation coalition attacking Israel.
God says this in Ezekiel in verse 16.
Ezekiel 38:16 (NLT)
16 and you will attack my people Israel, covering their land like a cloud. At that time in the distant future, I will bring you against my land as everyone watches, and my holiness will be displayed by what happens to you (your 5 nation coalition that is really stitched together by radical Islam and the major radical Islam players of the world), Gog. Then all the nations will know that I am the Lord.
There it is: The HUGE theme in Ezekiel and especially in this war. The God of Israel is the Lord God!
God says – my holiness will be displayed by what happens to you, Gog. Then all the nations will know that I am the Lord.
Then, starting in Ezekiel 38:18, we see how God will display his holiness.
I want to make sure I get this in. Radical Islam is at the center of this coalition. I need you to hear that. Because radical Islam has to be taken out, has to be gone for a peace treaty to be made with Israel by the Antichrist that allows them to build the Temple. Radical Islam will never allow it. And we always say, “Well, somehow it works.” But wait a minute. What if Ezekiel 38 is right (and it is), and these are the five nations that control radical Islam in the world, and God takes care of them? Then, how easy would it be for the Antichrist to bring a false peace?
We see how the nations will know that the God of Israel is the LORD of Heaven and earth.
Ezekiel 38:18–23 (NLT)
18 But this is what the Sovereign Lord says: When Gog invades the land of Israel, my fury will boil over!
19 In my jealousy and blazing anger, I promise a mighty shaking in the land of Israel on that day.

THAT IS - The Ultimate POINT of the Ezekiel 38 WAR. It’s for all the world to see God take out this five-nation coalition, which is stitched together by radical Islam. And right here, God destroys them. I mean from Heaven (with no help).
To close, let me say, like most things in Bible prophecy, there are multiple views about when this war is going to happen. Not IF, but when. We see this war happening just before the Rapture or just after the Rapture.
We see this war basically removing radical Islam from the world-controlling position they are working towards right now.
And we see this war paving the way for the Antichrist to bring false peace to the world for a time. And we see this war paving the way for the Antichrist to make a treaty with Israel, allowing Israel to rebuild the Temple, probably at the very beginning of the seven-year Tribulation.
There is so much prophecy that we can talk about in this war and in Ezekiel. But I just wanted you to know

And I want you to know WHY God is going to do it – to put on display his holiness and his greatness, his awesomeness, and his unconditional commitment to his People Israel.
But mostly, I want you to be in awe of God. I pray that you are in awe of the miraculous accuracy of God’s prophecy in the Bible. I pray that you are in awe of God’s unconditional promises to Israel, including bringing salvation to Israel in the very Last Days. And this war, described in Ezekiel 38, will certainly be a part of God doing that, especially as Israel enters the seven-year Tribulation period that we see closely following the Ezekiel 38 war.
Could that be happening right now? It’s not this war, but the pieces of the five-nation coalition coming together – it’s really easy to see it all going together.
