A God Who Has Everything
Psalm 96:7-10 (CEB) 7 Give to the Lord, all families of the nations— give to the Lord glory and power! 8 Give to the Lord the glory due his name! Bring gifts! Enter his courtyards! 9 Bow down to the Lord in his holy splendor! Tremble before him, all the earth! 10 Tell the nations, “The Lord rules! Yes, he set the world firmly in place; it won’t be shaken. He will judge all people fairly.”
Our lives are meant to be offered as a gift to God. It is the only way that we can express our fullest gratitude for all that God has given to us freely. It’s important for us to think outside of the box when it comes to sharing what God has given us as a means to bless the lives of others and celebrate the salvation that was given to us through Jesus. When we honor God and are more than generous with our time, energy, focus, and finances, the Lord sees that, and He rewards those who embrace Him fully by showing His love to the people of this world.
Questions: How are you using your strengths, your talents, your passions, and your resources as a way to thank God for what He has blessed you with? Are you being a good steward of the gifts He has entrusted to you? In what ways can you enhance the lives of others by sharing what God has given you?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, you are an abundant provider. I am able to give freely because what I offer up in your name is always returned back to me. Help me to find the courage to offer my life as a gift to you for all that you have done for me. Make me more and more aware of my many, many blessings. In Jesus’ name, amen.
